Lovely food lovely ambience. The staff is very well spoken and treat you really well. They explain everything perfectly while you are ordering a dish. We went in group of 5 on thanksgiving night and the food was just yummm and service was even better. Must try their brownie desert it was literally woooowwwww😋😋 wanted another one but the kitchen had already closed!

If you’re new to mckecks read this. First, don’t order take out from here. I ordered later in the night, they knew I was coming, still no one approached me at the door but they all kept looking at me? The good old blank small town stare. Could’ve just asked what I wanted. After maybe 10 minutes or so they asked then told me to proceed to the bar. Food still took a bit to come out. Forgot our drinks and instead of an apology she said “nice catch”. Wings were good and so was spinach dip, I got hot and honey for the wings. My husband went there the week prior to dine in. Said the experience was more or less the same. Also they served a table who came in after his and they kept having to wave down the servers. Odd. Two stars because the food was good but mind you I was starving at that point and options were limited. Anyways go to hook line and sinker.

Came for the patio view but turned out Food beats most grills I went to in Toronto. Lol only wish they trimmed the trees, the view could be 10 times nicer if it wasn’t blocked.

Stopped in here for dinner, and was excited for a small town pub experience. The staff were nice and we were seated and served without much delay. The food is the main drawback. The burgers and wings seriously lacked flavour. The fries were good but the gravy is terrible. There’s a shortage of options in general but given what you pay, I’d expect better. The washrooms are really nice and clean though.

I have always enjoyed the food at McKecks! We had a fantastic festive holiday dinner catered by McKecks last week at Echo Hills Apartments for the residents and it was so good! Lots of food. Turkey, stuffing, and gravy, mashed potatoes, winter veggies. All of it delivered and set up quickly. Nice and hot, beautifully done and homemade goodness! I think everyone went back for seconds! Thank you to Aaron and the crew for an excellent dinner. Hopefully same time next year!

Great service but the food was mediocre. Asked the server what McKeck's was most known for and she said the burgers, wings and craft beer, so we ordered McKeck's original cheese burger (~$20), Best Wings North of Buffalo (~$21) and a cocktail with Bulleit whiskey and Fenelon Vienna lager (~$13). The best thing was the Onion Rings that came with the wings, followed by the cocktail. The beef burger patty was dry, thin and charred. The wings were only moderately seasoned with lime, pepper and salt powder or something like it.

Great not so little place! I was surprised how far back this well appointed spot goes. Lots of room to move around, and the serving staff were so efficient! The place was pretty busy, but they held it down. The food was delicious and very generous portions. Walking out after a nice meal to take in the awesome town of Haliburton was the perfect ending😀

Every time I have gone, there has been one issue or another. Rude staff, wrong ingredients in dishes, even after clarifying with server and kitchen, management does not care for customer service, servers are polite enough but justify mistakes without ever offering an apology or discounts for things that any reputable restaurant would account for. They know they are often the place open in town and they have no care for retaining customers. I have only gone there the last few times because nowhere else was available for sitting in. Ever since the last time, I refuse to go there. If you want something better to eat and actual service from people who care, try the maple grill up the road, now open daily (except Mondays)!
